BC Cleantech CEO Alliance members Awesense and Neurio were named to the Deloitte Canada Fast 50 today. The Technology Fast 50 program celebrates innovation, rapid revenue growth, entrepreneurial spirit, and the world-class achievements of the Canadian technology industry. Awards are presented in distinct categories that characterize and define the unique strengths of Canadian innovation. Winners include both public and private companies spanning a variety of industry sub-sectors, including hardware, software, telecommunications, emerging technology, and digital media.

Awesense provides solutions enabling real-time monitoring and loss reduction within the distribution grid through the True Grid Intelligence (TGI) platform. TGI brings together a variety of cutting-edge technologies to address non-technical losses and allow utilities to audit and monitor their distribution network in real-time.

Neurio's technology helps companies all over the world to more effectively manage how power is used and generated in a home. Through a combination of hardware and software solutions, Neurio provides tools for energy management, control and optimization.

The CanadaCleantech Alliance, established March 2016 as a national partnership between BC Cleantech CEO Alliance, Écotech Québec, MaRS Discovery District and the Alberta Clean Technology Industry Alliance. Together, these cleantech organiz-ations from British Columbia, Québec, Ontario and Alberta represent the majority of Canada’s cleantech sector including hundreds of companies, employing tens of thousands of employees, generating billions of dollars of annual revenues.

Innovative Partnership Signed Between Clean Technology Organizations in British Columbia, Quebec, and Ontario

The BC Cleantech CEO Alliance, Ecotech Québec, and MaRS Cleantech have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to coordinate efforts to promote clean technologies, combat climate change and contribute to a strong, diverse, sustainable
economy. This agreement is the first of its kind in Canada and represents a significant step forward in strengthening the clean technology industry in Canada through greater coordination and collaboration.
